Adult Education

       We believe that persons become better disciples of Christ through education.  Discipleship provides ways of putting faith into practice.

      The education program at RUMC consists of opportunities for every age group. Our goal is to educate God's people for their spiritual life.

Wednesday Night Dinner and Fellowship: Each Wednesday evening during the school year we offer dinners in The Well (gym) from 4:45-6:00 PM. The menu for the mid-week meal is published in Sunday's bulletin, and there is always a peanut butter and jelly alternative for children.  Following the meal, various studies and programs are offered for adults, beginning at 6:00 PM.  There are nurseries available and planned activities for children, including chiors, Bible studies, and crafts.  Wednesday dinners have ended for May and will resume August 18, 2010 with a meal from Chick-Fil-A.  August 18, is the kick-off night for fall programs, so there will be a Health Fair that night at 6:00 PM for adults, and inflatables and games for children. Wednesday classes and regular programming resume August 25th.
 
Prayer Ministries: Prayer underlies and supports all the ministrie and programs of our church. We have a prayer room, prayer committee, Prayer Partners, prayer groups, and we solicit prayer requests weekly.
 
Lay Involvement: Checklists of all volunteer service needs and ministries are available, including descriptions of the needs. This allows each person to match his or her personal talents and interests with a ministry volunteer area.
 
United Methodist Women: Meets monthly in groups called circles and larger quarterly meetings.
 
United Methodist Men: A monthly Sunday morning breakfast offers the men of the church the opportunity for fellowship, study, programs, and project planning.
